[edit] All Spray Paints

Paint needs to stick to, smooth out bumps on, and avoid eating a hole in foam planes. The most hazardous part of spray paints is usually the propellant, which tends to dissolve foam. Keep the paint nozzle *well away* from the target (0.5m away), and use a number of very thin coats, and the propellant will tend to evaporate out of the spray in transit.

[edit] Vinyl Dye

Vinyl dye is used to recolor soft plastics. Application instructions are to use an extremely thin, even spotty coat, wait a few minutes to dry, then apply another similar coat, and repeat until the object is done. A rinse after finishing is useful to prevent rub-off.
